ShareProperty Joins Seedrs Success Club
At ShareProperty we have this week successfully closed our Seedrs funding round. Seeking £80,000 on the investment platform the team were overwhelmed with the response, overfunding after just three days of being live.
Closing just short of £150,000 the Cardiff-based startup are now ready to launch the business, having developed sophisticated tech to offer fractional ownership on residential property.
What does ShareProperty do?
ShareProperty members can put in as little as £100 in exchange for shares within a company set up to exclusively own and manage the single property. Any returns are then paid directly to members through the platform. Typically, returns can come by way of regular dividends and capital growth either on disposal or refinancing of the asset.
With a mission to ‘Simplify Property Investment’, our investment team analyse the market for suitable properties, adopting a rigorous due diligence approach. Seeing Wales and the South West as our initial focus the team plan to have our first Welsh property live on the platform this September.
Recognising the changing landscape
With the Brexit vote and steep changes to the buy-to-let model in the UK, landlords, smaller property developers and investors can all benefit from ShareProperty.
Co-founder David Rees explains why he believes that now is the perfect time for ShareProperty to launch;
